Meghan Burroughs is a mezzo-soprano with an upper extension based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She recently earned a Master of Music in vocal performance at the University of Memphis. She has performed widely, specializing in operatic performance, oratorio, and art song. 

Meghan has studied internationally, including a semester in Austria and a summer in Italy. She performed her masters recital in early April with works by Reynaldo Hahn, Manuel de Falla, Robert Schumann, and Ricky Ian Gordon. She performed Symphony No. 2 “Voices” by James Stephenson with the University of Memphis Wind Ensemble in late February 2024. Meghan has been featured in roles such as Donna Elvira from Don Giovanni, Veronique from Le Docteur Miracle, Mary from The Nefarious, Immoral, but Highly Profitable Acts of Mr. Burke and Mr. Hare, and Coordinator from Speed Dating Tonight! Meghan was awarded second place in the Beethoven Club Young Artist Competition in April 2024 and third place in the Schubert Club Bruce P. Carlson Scholarship competition in March 2024.

Meghan holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Memphis. She has two degrees from Lawrence University; a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology. Her primary teachers include Estelí Gomez and Paulina Villarreal.
